Check your percent-error calculation

Enter the two values from your own work in the same unit.

Use a nonzero accepted value.

This checks the setup. Round your final result to the precision requested on your sheet. Percent error has no physical unit.

Percent error · Wadson convention

Percent error = |experimental − accepted| / |accepted| × 100. Use the accepted/reference value in the denominator. The result is nonnegative and is expressed as a percent, with no physical unit. Keep extra digits until the final result; the supplied evidence does not establish a universal two-decimal rule.

Precision and notation

Record instrument uncertainty from the actual instrument or the question. has one nonzero digit before the decimal. Match rounding to the operation and measured precision, then attach the correct unit.
